Mukesh Sinha, Managing Editor

Mukesh Sinha has been the pioneering figure behind Dwarka City Newspaper and Dwarka City Directory. He has made it his mission to highlight the issues of the area; bring it to the proper forum, promote the interests of the citizens and do everything possible for the development of this sub-city. Having been associated with the area's development since its inception, Mukesh Sinha understands each and every aspect of the region and its complexities. The developmental activities in Dwarka owe a lot to the untiring and selfless efforts of Dwarka City under the leadership of Mukesh Sinha. He has played a pivotal role in sub-city’s growth. He is actively involved in politics too.

Sinha is been in the forefront of a large number of social and welfare organizations. He is the President of Association of Social and Cultural Events; Founder & General Secretary of Dwarka Chirtragupt Samaj; Patron of Dwarka Bangiya Samaj (Bengali Association).

On the cultural front, he has been organizing grand Dwarka Ramleela / Dussehera Mahotsav, Kavi Sammelans on eve of Independence Day, Painting competition on Republic day and Torch bearer of Dwarka Award ceremony for the last many years to provide platform to talents and bring people of Dwarka together.

Sudha Sinha, Editor

Sudha Sinha, is a dynamic and dedicated professional, who has committed herself to a cause that is very close to her heart – the continuous development of the Dwarka sub-city, in order to make Dwarka a model sub-city. Sudha is a multi-talented and multi-faced lady. She keeps working in uplifting the lives of women who have faced oppression and discrimination. She is a social activist and has proved her mettle in fighting for a number of causes and has also been successful in resolving some long pending and contentious issues that had been bothering the residents.

Her attitude is non-confrontationist, and believes in understanding all points of views. This balanced and mature approach has stood her in good stead while dealing with a wide array of persons in her career.

A Delhiite to the core, Sudha did her M.Phil in Fine Arts from University of Delhi. She started her career as an educationist and her first initiative was starting a school for promoting Indian Dance and Music in South Delhi. She has a close association with media. She worked with Zee media as coordinator for a serial / talk show and with ‘The Times of India’ as marketing coordinator. But always an entrepreneur at heart, she soon ventured out on her own, by becoming a franchisee for space selling for The Times of India. During her stint here, she created a page four times a month for white goods for Delhi and NCR markets. This concept clicked and was a great hit. Sudha then decided to start her own newspaper in 2003 and named it ‘Dwarka City’. The timing was right and there was certainly a void and requirement for such a medium. Soon the newspaper became a household name and was accepted by not only the residents but also the government / civic authorities to bridge the gap between the activities and development of the area and residents.

Sudha has also been the driving force for the Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd, an apex body of cooperative group housing societies in Dwarka. She was elected General Secretary in 2013. She has been instrumental in taking up the issues relating to Dwarka societies and residents at all for forums and has seen the resolution of sticky issues relating to water, electricity, security and many more. Always accessible and cooperative, Sudha’s work has been appreciated at different levels. It was due to her bold decision of sitting for dharna, that water problem in Dwarka was solved. The 26 societies that had gone for self draw were regularised due to her perpetual efforts. Sudha is associated with many social organisations of Dwarka. She is the force behind Mukesh Sinha in organising a grand Dwarka Dussehera Mahotsav, Kavi Sammelans, painting competiton on Republic day and Torch bearer of Dwarka Award ceremony for the last many years in Dwarka. It was for the commendable work done for the development of the sub city that Sudha was given the Best Corporator Award by Delhi Government in 2015. She truly represented Dwarka’s woman of substance.
