Cancer Awareness Camp By Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation

A health and well-being of the elderly community, a Cancer Awareness Camp was organized on 28th January 2024, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of Senior Citizens, eager to learn more about cancer prevention and early detection. The awareness camp, held at Platinum Heights Society, Sec 18 was a collaborative effort between Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation and Senior Citizen Association, Platinum Heights Dwarka, Sector-18B. Dr. Feroz Pasha, Sr. Consultant Oncology, Apollo Hospitals, who is also the Honorary Medical Director of Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation led an interactive session on the significance of regular health check-ups and screenings. He emphasized that early detection plays a pivotal role in successful cancer treatment, underlining the importance of seniors being proactive about their health. A free blood pressure and blood sugar check-up was also organized. An introduction to Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation and its initiatives towards cancer education and screening was given by Dr. B K Singh, Associate Consultant Neurosurgery, Apollo Hospitals and Honorary Executive Director of SCCF. Dr. Singh said, "Reflecting on the success of our Cancer Awareness Camp for seniors, A heartfelt thank you to all participants and volunteers. Your commitment to health is truly inspiring.
