Sanitary Pad Distribution and Free Health Check Camp by Ek Mutthi

Ek Mutthi NGO organised a Sanitary Napkins distribution and Health Check Up camp at Ranjit Vihar, Sector- 22 on Wednesday at 11.30 am. According to Sudha Sinha, Founder Ek Mutthi, “Sanitary Napkins were distributed to all ladies and talk on hygiene was also given. We distribute pads at different places every Wednesday. The team discussed and educated the maids-girls and women about hygiene and cleanliness during the menstrual cycle.” Those present were Bhavna Pandey, Abha Gurain, Asha Yadav and others. Says Anaya, maid, “I work here in Ranjit Vihar. Every month there is a sanitary pad distribution camp by Ek Mutthi and we come regularly to get pads.” Sangeeta, who has worked here for 3 years, is also happy to get awareness about hygiene.

A Free Medical Health Checkup Camp was also organised on the occasion in association with Bhagat Hospital Dwarka at Ranjit Vihar Sector -22 for underprivileged communities along with sanitary pad distribution. The residents of that area took advantage of this camp and came in large numbers to get Sugar, BP, eye test, ECG done. J C.Gupta who was there to avail the facility, said that this was a very good initiative and the camp was very well organised by Sudha Sinha. Vikram Sharma, Security incharge of Ranjit Vihar said, “The sanitary distribution camp is held every month and many maids from nearby areas also come. Today I got my free sugar BP and eye test done. I am feeling very confident after my tests.”
