IT’S SCHOOL TIME AGAIN CAMPUSES ECHO WITH CHEER, LAUGHTER AND NEW BEGINNINGS

It’s school time once again and campuses across the city are alive with the sound of cheering children, joyful shrieks and enthusiastic clapping as the new academic session begins on a vibrant note. New books, new bag, new class….. but yes, old friends meet again. After a break, students returned with bright smiles and renewed energy, filling school corridors with excitement and anticipation. The first day unfolded like a celebration, with warm welcomes, lively interactions and a spirit of togetherness that set the tone for a promising year ahead. Schools across the city ushered in the first day of the new academic session with great enthusiasm, warmth and meticulous planning to create a positive and memorable experience for students. The campuses resonated with excitement as teachers and staff extended a heartfelt welcome through well-organised reception activities, decorated classrooms and engaging interactions designed to ease students into the new environment. Special assemblies, orientation programmes and motivational talks were conducted to help students, especially those entering a new school or grade, feel confident, comfortable and inspired for the year ahead. Many schools also incorporated creative elements such as cultural performances, fun games and interactive learning activities to make the day both enjoyable and meaningful. Emphasis was laid on fostering a sense of belonging, encouraging curiosity and setting a constructive tone for academic and personal growth.

Dwarka City asked few students as well as schools to share vibrant and joyful spirit that marked the beginning of the new session -
JM International School, Sector-6- The new academic session began on an inspiring note with the morning assembly, which highlighted the value of setting meaningful goals, approaching each day with clear intentions and embracing the journey of learning with purpose. Students were encouraged to reflect on their strengths, envision their growth and begin the year with focus and determination, reinforcing both academic commitment and personal development. Classrooms then came alive with thoughtfully designed ice-breaking activities that helped students overcome first-day apprehensions and connect naturally with their peers. Teachers nurtured the supportive environment through warm, heartfelt meet-and-greet moments. The day emphasized not only settling into routines but also embarking on a journey of self-awareness and exploration. Students were gently guided to understand themselves better, their potential and their role in the collective learning experience. There was a palpable sense of enthusiasm, positivity and readiness to embrace the academic challenges ahead.  

Bal Bhavan International School – The school buzzed with renewed energy as it joyfully welcomed students on the day of the commencement of the new academic session. The first day was meticulously designed to transition students from their break into a world of learning through a series of engaging and meaningful ice-breaking activities. The morning commenced with a soulful reflection during the “Goals for This Year” session. Students set personal, academic and habit-based targets, laying a focused foundation for the months ahead. Creative expression took center stage with the “Know Me Better” activity, where learners used vibrant smiley stickers and self-descriptions to share their unique personalities with peers. Fostering a culture of appreciation, students designed thoughtful cards highlighting the positive qualities of their friends, strengthening bonds and promoting a supportive atmosphere. The energy reached a crescendo during a lively Zumba session. The festivities concluded with the “Name Balloon Faces” activity, wherein students created cheerful balloon faces with their names written on it.

N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Rohini, New Session Commencement- The new academic session began on an inspiring note with a vibrant Satrarambh Assembly conducted by Aryabhatta House. Like the gentle rays of a new dawn, the assembly spread warmth and hope among students. It opened with a motivational Sanskrit quote encouraging determination and goal-setting. A floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati marked an auspicious beginning, with the Principal, Headmistress and Incharge offering their respects. The cultural segment featured a melodious presentation followed by a graceful fusion of Ganesh Paran and Tarana, creating an atmosphere of positivity, enthusiasm and renewed energy for the year ahead.

MDH International School- The school marked the beginning of the new academic session with a warm and vibrant welcome for its students, creating an atmosphere of joy, enthusiasm and belonging. The entrance was beautifully decorated with colorful balloons, creative displays and motivational messages that instantly uplifted the spirits of the children.
Teachers greeted the students with smiles and traditional tilak, making them feel valued and cherished. A special assembly was organized to set a positive tone for the year ahead, including a prayer, a motivational address by the Principal and cheerful welcome songs performed by the senior students. Creative tasks and activities helped the students reconnect with their peers and teachers. For the younger children, storytelling sessions and playful learning activities ensured a smooth and happy transition into the new session.

Venkateshwara International School- The first day of the new academic session at Venkateshwar International School unfolded with excitement, curiosity and joyful energy across all grades. This year marked a special beginning with the introduction of the school's mascot, Me Venky, who will be a constant companion for learners - encouraging them during exams, guiding new students through the school and offering motivational support for their socio-emotional well-being. Me Venky will be an integral part of school life, engaging with learners across various activities and experiences. The young learners of Classes 1 and 2 had an especially delightful start as they explored the school through a guided tour, becoming familiar with key spaces such as their classrooms, the library, laboratories, cafeteria, infirmary and reception area. This helped them feel confident and at ease in their new environment. Adding a personal touch to the day, the learners created their own name badges, fostering a sense of belonging. Outdoor fun followed, with engaging games and running activities that kept their spirits high. A delicious meal and a relaxing movie session brought a perfect balance to their vibrant day.

Vandana International School- The Kindergarten Wing of Vandana International School marked the commencement of the academic session 2026–27 with a vibrant and thoughtfully curated Welcome Funfair. Designed to create a warm and reassuring environment, the initiative ensured a delightful first-day experience for both young learners and their parents. A highlight of the event was a collaborative hand-printing activity, where parents and children created personalized memory frames, symbolising the beginning of a meaningful educational journey and fostering a strong sense of belonging. Students enthusiastically engaged in a variety of age-appropriate activities, including colouring, creative printing, tattoo making and interactive circle time sessions. These activities were carefully planned to encourage self-expression, ease first-day anxieties and promote social interaction in a joyful setting.
A lively Candy Corner added to the festive spirit, while a Montessori-based parent-child activity offered valuable insight into the school’s experiential and hands-on learning approach. The Welcome Funfair successfully set a positive tone for the new session, ensuring that every child embarked on their learning journey with confidence, comfort and happiness.

Maxfort School, Sector-7, Dwarka- organized a vibrant New Parent Orientation Programme on 15th March 2026, warmly welcoming parents to its academic community. The event was graced by Vice Chairperson Ms. Mansi Narang, Mr. Sanat Narang, Education Advisor Dr. V. K. Gautam and Principal Ms. Dipika Sharma. The Education Advisor shared insights on modern education, while the Principal highlighted the school’s vision, values and commitment to nurturing future leaders, innovators and compassionate citizens. With over 20 years of excellence, the school focuses on holistic development beyond academics. The Guidance and Counseling Department conducted engaging sessions on emotional well-being. A key highlight was the “March of Academies,” showcasing unity and discipline. The presence of dedicated department heads reflected a strong academic team committed to providing personalized attention and fostering each child’s overall growth and success.

The first day of school at St. Thomas' School, Dwarka marked a joyful and energetic beginning to the new academic session, filled with smiles, excitement and warm welcomes. The school campus was decorated with bright balloon arrangements, creating a cheerful atmosphere for students as they walked in with enthusiasm and curiosity. The day began with a special assembly where students were welcomed by the school. Motivational words, cheerful greetings and positive messages set a wonderful tone for the year ahead. One of the most enjoyable activities was hand printing, where students created colourful handprints as a symbol of new beginnings and unity. Another creative activity included making a craft tree using colourful pom poms, which encouraged teamwork and creativity among students. An orientation session was also conducted for Class VI students to familiarise them with their new environment, teachers and school routine.
