The festive spirit is about to take over Dwarka! With the sounds of devotion, the grandeur of Ramleela and the anticipation of another spectacular cultural celebration on the horizon, preparations for the much-awaited 24th Ramleela Mahotsav are all set to begin. The first auspicious step will be taken on September 19 with the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony at Sector 11 Sports Complex.

Mukesh Sinha, organiser of Ramlila Mahotsav of Sector-11 said: “The excitement has already begun and the Bhoomi Poojan will formally set the wheels in motion for the 24th Ramleela Mahotsav. Every year, Ramleela brings thousands of people together and creates a unique atmosphere of devotion, celebration and togetherness. This year too, we are looking forward to a grand celebration and hope residents will participate wholeheartedly and make it a memorable occasion.” The Bhoomi Poojan will be held at 10.30 am, followed by a Hawan at 11.15 am. Residents, devotees and well-wishers have been invited to participate in the ceremony and seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram.

The association has been actively working towards promoting Indian culture, traditions and community participation through various social and cultural programmes. The annual Ramleela Mahotsav is one of its major initiatives, providing an opportunity for people of all age groups to come together and reconnect with the values and teachings associated with the epic Ramayana.

The Bhoomi Poojan ceremony holds special significance as it marks the beginning of the preparations for the Ramleela, which is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm and devotion. The organisers expressed hope that the upcoming Mahotsav will once again receive the wholehearted support and participation of Dwarka residents.

The association has appealed to residents to join the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony and make the occasion memorable with their gracious presence. The event will also set the tone for the preparations and activities associated with the 24th Ramleela Mahotsav, which aims to carry forward the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the community and setting the stage for days of devotion, drama, tradition and community celebration in Dwarka.

The annual Ramleela is much more than a religious event. It is a celebration of India's cultural heritage and an occasion that brings families and communities together while introducing younger generations to the timeless values of the Ramayana. The organisers believe that collective participation in such cultural and religious events strengthens community bonds and provides the younger generation an opportunity to understand and appreciate India’s rich traditions.
