DWARKA STUDENTS STAND OUT IN CBSE BOARD EXAMS

The ‘milestone examinations’ in a student’s career, viz, the CBSE Class 10th and 12th results were declared. The pass percentage in Class 10 stood at 93.60, a rise of 0.48 percentage points from last year. The pass percentage in the Class 12 exam saw a marginal increase of 0.65 percentage points from last year to 87.98. CBSE officials attributed the rise in pass percentage to an increase in the number of competency-based questions in the exams this year. Girls continued to outshine boys in the board exams while the pass percentage and the number of students scoring above 90 and 95 percent witnessed a marginal increase from last year. In the CBSE 10th exam 2024, more than 39 lakh students registered for the board exams this year. The number of students placed in compartment category (full subjects) decreased from 134,774 (6.22%) in 2023 to 132,337 (5.91%) in 2024. This year, JNV and KVs have performed the best with a pass percentage of 99.09%, followed by independent schools where it stood at 94.54%. CTSA registered pass percentage of 94.40% while government schools registered pass percentage of 86.72% and government-aided schools recorded 83.95%. This academic year, the CBSE Class 10 examinations were conducted from February 15 to March 13, in 26 countries globally. Girls pass percentage was higher at 94.75 percent compared to the boys’ pass percentage at 92.71 percent. In Class 10, a total of 11,253 students scored full marks in "Mathematics standard", followed by Sanskrit and Artificial Intelligence in which 6,700 and 6,269 candidates scored a perfect 100, respectively. Similarly, in Class 12, the highest number of full marks scorers was in Painting at 10,402, followed by Chemistry at 2,152 and Psychology at 2,134. In the Class 12 exams Trivandrum topped with a pass percentage at 99.91 followed by Vijaywada with 99.04 percent. Chennai with 98.47 and Bengaluru were at 96.95 per cent. Delhi West had the next best pass percentage at 95.64 followed by Delhi East at 94.51 per cent. The overall pass percentage in Class 12 this year is 87.98%, reflecting a slight increase of 0.65% from last year. Out of 1,633,730 students who registered for the CBSE Class 12 exams this year, 1,621,224 students appeared for the exams, and 1,426,420 students passed the exams. Among boys, the pass percentage stood at 91.25%, and among girls, it was 94.54%. Dwarka students are once again sparkling in their board exam and many have come out with flying colours.
