A resident has raised concerns over a traffic safety hazard caused by a pole positioned directly in the middle of a red traffic light near Dwarka International School, Sector 12, Dwarka, towards Sector- 12 Market. According to Sushil Kumar, a resident, the placement of the pole obstructs the visibility of the traffic signal and could potentially create confusion for motorists. The matter has already been brought to the notice of the Traffic Inspector (TI) concerned. However, the resident has highlighted the location as an example of a larger issue that may require attention across Dwarka. Sushil Kumar pointed out that there are several traffic signals in the area where either poles are positioned close to or directly in front of the signal lights, while in some locations, overgrown tree branches reportedly obstruct the visibility of traffic signals. Such obstructions can become particularly dangerous during foggy or low-visibility conditions, when motorists already face difficulty in clearly identifying traffic signals. The resident has urged the traffic authorities to conduct a comprehensive survey of traffic signals across Dwarka to identify similar obstructions. He has requested that necessary corrective measures, including relocation of obstructing poles and trimming of branches where required, be undertaken at the earliest.
