RCD Govinda Organizes Mammography and Cancer Detection Camp
In a remarkable effort to promote community health, the Rotary Club of Delhi Govinda in collaboration with RWA, DDA Pocket-1, Sector-9, Dwarka hosted a Free Mammography, Cancer Detection and Health Camp on August 25th, 2024.
The camp was inaugurated by Chief Guests Rtn. M. P. Garg, Chartered President and Rtn. S. P. Singh, Past President of RCD Govinda. Rtn. Mukesh Sinha, President of Rotary Club of Delhi Govinda welcomed all the dignitaries and doctors and emphasized the club's ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of the community. “As we continue to take steps towards a healthier Dwarka, this camp is a reflection of our club’s dedication to serving those in need. We are proud to offer this opportunity to our residents, ensuring they receive essential health screenings free of charge,” he said. The event provided free mammography services, essential cancer detection screenings, and overall health check-ups. With a special focus on early detection, the camp aimed to provide crucial diagnostic services to residents who might not have regular access to such healthcare. The health camp was conducted by experienced medical professionals and volunteers, ensuring thorough and careful screenings for all participants. Residents from across Dwarka participated in the camp, with many expressing gratitude for the free services and the opportunity to get their health checked. Several women availed themselves of the mammography screenings, emphasizing the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.
Rtn. S. P. Singh said, "Rotary has always stood for service above self. Today’s successful turnout reflects the community’s trust in us, and we hope to continue making a positive impact on public health." Members of Rotary Club of Delhi Govinda along with local medical staff worked tirelessly to ensure that every participant received comprehensive care and advice on follow-up treatment if needed. Rtn. Mukesh Sinha concluded by expressing his gratitude to all the organizers and volunteers who made the event possible. "This health camp would not have been a success without the selfless efforts of our volunteers, medical professionals, and community leaders. Together, we are creating a healthier and stronger Dwarka."
