A Conversation with Ashish Srivastava Director, KRA HEALTHCARE
Q: Sir, thank you for sharing your time with us today. Can you tell us about KRA HEALTHCARE and what inspired you to start this journey?
A: Thank you for having me. KRA HEALTHCARE is a labor of love, born out of a desire to make quality healthcare accessible to all. I've seen many families struggle to afford medical care, and I wanted to change that. Our mission is to empower patients with knowledge, protect their rights, and ensure accountability in healthcare services.
Q: That's commendable. Can you share a bit about your background and what led you to this path?
A: I've spent over 20 years in corporate and business, but my true passion has always been social service. I've been associated with various social organizations, and that's where I realized the importance of quality healthcare. When I saw the struggles of senior citizens and underprivileged individuals, I knew I had to act.
Q: KRA HEALTHCARE is a multispeciality day care centre. What philosophy guides your approach to healthcare?
A: We believe that 70-80% of treatment can be effectively managed in a multispeciality day care centre like ours. Hospital stays should be reserved for critical care, not routine check-ups or investigations. Unfortunately, we often see patients opting for hospital stays due to insurance coverage, only to be subjected to unnecessary tests and procedures that can harm their health.
Q: That’s a crucial point. How do you approach admissions at KRA HEALTHCARE?
A: We only recommend admissions when absolutely necessary. Our focus is on providing quality care, not accumulating bills. We want patients to understand that our priority is their well-being, not just treating a condition. Insurance coverage is great, but we shouldn’t compromise on our health for the sake of it. At KRA HEALTHCARE, we’re committed to transparency and accountability, ensuring patients receive the right care, without unnecessary interventions.
Q: KRA HEALTHCARE has been quite active in the community. Can you share some of your achievements and camps?
A: We're proud to have served the National Blind Association, Dwarka, and partnered with Rotary Club for healthcare initiatives. We've also had camps at the Indian WheelChair Cricket League, Chhath Puja premises, and our own centre. These efforts reflect our commitment to reaching out and serving the community.
Q: You have an upcoming camp, right?
A: Yes, on November 9th, we're hosting a health camp at KRA Healthcare. All our specialist doctors will be available for consultation. The camp includes free tests for HbA1C, RBS, Uric Acid, BMD, GERD assessment, Neuropathy screening, and TSH, with just a ₹200 registration fee. We invite everyone to join us for this health check-up opportunity.
Q: What about the star departments at KRA HEALTHCARE?
A: Honestly, it's tough to pick just one! Our Internal Medicine, Eye, Physiotherapy, Gynaecology, Mental Health, ENT, Orthopaedic, and Dental departments are all exceptional, thanks to our experienced doctors and staff. We invite everyone to visit us and experience our care firsthand.
Q: Tell us about the One Family One Card plan?
A: Our One Family One Card plan, also known as The Family 360 Plan, is designed to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for families. For ₹20,000, families get ₹30,000 health credit, with benefits including at least 3 free sessions each of physiotherapy, psychology, dental, and eye check-ups, discounts on lab tests and medicines, personal accident insurance up to ₹2,00,000, and priority appointments. It's our way of saying that healthcare is a family affair, and we're committed to supporting yours.
Q: What message would you like to share with the people of Dwarka?
A: We're here to serve, with compassion and expertise. We understand the emotional and financial toll of healthcare, and we’re committed to making it more accessible and affordable. Join us in our mission to revolutionize healthcare, one patient at a time.
