88 Mahila Battalion, CRPF Organises Plantation Drive

In a significant initiative towards environmental conservation and sustainable living, 88 Mahila Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a plantation drive at its campus in Sector-8, during which 250 saplings were planted by officers and personnel of the Battalion. The plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of Smt. Kamal Sisodiya, Commandant, 88 Mahila Battalion.  The initia-tive reflects her vision of making environmental protection, sustainable living and personnel wellness an integral part of the ethos of the Force. The plantation of 250 saplings marks a meaningful beginning towards creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable Battalion campus while reinforcing the larger message that protecting the nation and protecting the planet are complementary responsibilities.

“Plant a sapling, give it a name, nurture it like your own child, and let it grow into a legacy for genera-tions to come.” said Smt. Kamal Sisodiya “Plantation is not merely a ceremonial activity; it is a commitment towards the survival of our planet and the well-being of generations to come. Every sapling we plant today represents a promise for a cleaner, healthier and greener tomorrow. I have encouraged our personnel to give each sapling a name, develop a personal bond with it and take personal responsibility for its care and growth. As members of the CRPF, we are entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the nation. We must also recognise our responsibility towards protecting the environment. Trees provide us with clean air, support ecological balance, reduce pollution and create a healthier environment for future generations. By planting, nurturing and protecting trees, we can contribute meaningfully to environmental conservation and inspire others to adopt a more responsible approach towards nature. Our endeavour at 88 Mahila Battalion is not only to plant saplings but to nurture them into healthy trees. I believe that every tree that grows within our campus will stand as a symbol of our collective commitment, discipline and responsibility towards nature. Let us make this plantation drive the beginning of a lasting green legacy for the Battalion.”
