Vote Judiciously for Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd.


Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd. (Federation) is the Registered Apex body of 352 Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHS) of Dwarka Sub-city. It was registered in April 2000 and has since completed 23 years of successful existence. Main objective of the Federation is promotion of cooperative housing movement in the Sub-city & coordinate and facilitate the operations of CGHS in Dwarka. The Federation, inter alia, provides a common forum for dealing with legal, technical and practical problems relating to housing societies, coordinate & guide the working of member societies and devise ways & means of solving their problems.  Federation is the sole body registered with Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) appointed under the Delhi Cooperative Societies (DCS) Act. Federation acts as a link between CGHS and RCS to promote their economic & social betterment, improved management, functional autonomy and adherence to regulations. No other forum except Federation of CGHS Dwarka has any authority to assume these powers. This guarantees the stature of Federation and ensures its authority. 273 CGHS of Dwarka are the members of Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd., as of March, 2023,  a record of sort for the entire Delhi.

Achievements of the Federation
1. Successfully coordinated with DDA and various other authorities to develop better infrastructure for Dwarka Sub-city.
2. Played an important role in completion of allotment of many CGHS, which had been pending for several years.
3. Protested continuously for supply of adequate potable water and finally resolved water woes of Dwarkaites. 
4. Co-ordinated with District Administration and Police Authorities to resolve major crisis of Dwarka Sub City. During COVID lockdown (2020-2021) the Federation worked tirelessly with the Administration to provide:
a. 1300 Gate Passes to 352 Societies and 52 DDA pockets and ensured the maintenance of essential services. 
b. Doorstep supply of essential consumable. 
c. ATMs at doorstep. 
d. Garbage pick-up for COVID affected patients.
e. Free supply of critical protection / Food items to security staff.
f.  Medical camps within societies for COVID vaccine.
5. Represented to RCS, Govt. of NCT of  Delhi for member societies.
6. Represented for shifting of mobile towers from residential areas 
7. Successfully took-up the case of societies against show cause notices for imposing Environmental Compensation from Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. 
8. Represented the cases of societies against show cause notices by DPCC for alleged extraction of ground water of Sector -9.
9. Represented cases of societies to the Vice-Chairman, DDA.
10. Obtained permission from DJB, Govt. of NCT of Delhi for extension of time limit for carrying-out rain water harvesting/ cleaning of pits by societies and reducing its periodicity to once in a year.
Besides the above achievements, Federation plays a key role on an ongoing basis in helping the societies in settling their in-house disputes, providing regular counseling, assisting in conduct of elections. Regular magazine FLASH  apprises on the developments taking place in Dwarka. Federation also educate management of Cooperaive  Societies on various topics.

MANIFESTO of Team Federation
1. Restoration of 20% rebate in Property Tax to residents.
2. Allotment of  land for Federation's  office
3. Efforts to get all 352 CGHS to be a member of Federation.
4. Removal of encroachments from local shopping centers, service lanes and footpaths.
5. Resident-friendly Weekly Markets instead of hawkers occupying pavements across Dwarka.
6. Modify DJB Rain Water Harvesting plan and redraw according to the  convenience of CGHS.
7. FREE Parking Facilities for the residents in the markets and decongesting the shopping areas. Review of the parking lots allotted by MCD.
8.  Develop Society friendly website of the Federation.
9. Uninterrupted information sharing through Website and Social Media.
10. Seminar, Guest Lectures, Interactions with RCS, MCD, Police and DDA officials.
11. Regular interaction with the Senior Civil and Police Authorities for law and order related matters.
12. Coordination for Maintenance of Roads/ Street Lights and installation of  CCTVs on all crossings of Dwarka.
13. Inter Societies / Sectors / Sports- Cultural meets.
14. Resolution of RWH and DG set Issue with NGT and concerned  Authorities.
15. Beautification of Parks/ Society parks with the help of horticulture department of MCD and DDA.
16. Maintainance of Open Gyms of Dwarka.
17. Removal of Termite infected Trees and new plantations.
18. Demand for one more Entry / Exit Underpass or Flyover for Dwarka. List Of 25 Candidates

CAPT (Retd., Indian Navy) Krishan Kumar, President of  Defence Officers Apartments, Sector-4 Dwarka  is a Post Graduate in Physics from Delhi University. He is a war veteran and an accomplished and well decorated senior Indian Navy Officer (Equivalent to full Colonel) for 30 years who has served across India and abroad. He is from a family of warriors and has served as a Member, VP and President in his society. He has been actively associated with the Navy Foundation and DSOI (DK) also.  In his younger days, he has been a keen yachtsman having represented India in the Asian championship as well as World selection trials as a NCC Cadet/Naval Officer. Mr. Surender Kumar Vats, Vice President, IFCI CGHS Ltd., retired as Chief General Manager from IFCI  Ltd. He is MA (Eco), PGDip (PMRI&R) JCIIB. He Also served as Managing Director of IFCI Infrastructure Development Ltd. He is the founder member and was the first President of IFCI CGHS. Ltd. He has also been President of IFCI Employees Recreation Club  and been a sportsman representing school/ college / University. M.:  9990725958.

CA, Surinder Kumar Juneja, President of Ashoka Enclave CGHS Ltd. is a practicing Chartered Accountant for last 30 years. He is also a practicing 'Insolvency Professional' since inception of 'The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code'. He has been IRP/Liquidator of many companies and excells in  drafting, presentation and writing skills. Has experience of more than 100 appearances before NCLT and NCLAT. M.: 9810331588.

N. C. Mishra, Member MC, Southern CGHS Ltd. the present Gen.Secretary of the Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd. is a retired banking professional and an ardent environmentalist. Mishra started his career in  Intelligence Bureau in the year 1975 and then transitioned into the banking industry in the year 1983. He has held various positions in the bank officers’ association and is the Founding member of the NGO ‘campaign Against Plastic Pollution’. M.: 9313741496.

L.R.Gupta, Secretary of Balaji CGHS Ltd. is M.Com. from Sri Ram College Of Commerce. Has an experience of 35 years in Housing, Land and RCS related matters in U D Ministry.
